At least that is the way I see it. The kids on the other hand don’t. They really enjoy having the teams here as do I. But I also like the down times. After each group my let down/crash has been worse. It has taken most of this week just to recoup and have any energy to do anything. The kids on the other hand are bored and restless. They want to do something, anything, just as long as they can get out of here. Most of the kids have not left the school for over 2 months. They would just like a change of scenery. I can’t blame them; I just don’t care to go to town. Driving 1 ½ to 2 hours one way, part of it down a dirty rough road and then hitting the tar and having to deal with check points. It drains me more than working here all day. It is anything but relaxing and right now I need all the energy I can get. Kel and I will need to figure out something, especially for the older ones. It is definitely the hardest on them; during these times is when they miss their friends the most. They don’t have any really close friends here and I don’t see any time in the near future that they will. They really miss Dana and Sasha a lot (there best friends back home). I miss my friends back home to. I just try not to think about it to much and try to focus on the many tasks at hand. Kel says, “You don’t get it”, which is true. I do not get/understand these pre teen age girls. It is WAY too complicated for me. There is no reason to try when I know I will never succeed. 
(Kelly says it is not about preteen girls, so I guess I REALLY don’t get it.)

Another group come and gone. What an amazing time! It blows me away how much these teams minister to us when we are here to serve them and make sure everything is going okay for them and do they need anything. And yet they continue to bless us. It was a lot of fun having the groups from Iowa and Georgia here. These guys really liked having a good time and they did. Justin and Bill made us a bathroom vanity. It is amazing. These guys put a lot of time and effort into it and I can not thank them enough. I had been planning on building something for some time but just had not gotten to it and didn’t know when I would with everything else going on. Speaking of everything else, the library is ready for a roof now. The Georgia group knocked that out and have it ready. It was neat to see. On the last day the 2 Iowa groups pulled off their work sites to go help finish off what they could at the library. It was 3 different churches represented but you wouldn’t know it. It was a body of believers working together.
Enchoka (snake) update: it has been a busy year so far. Never has there been this many snakes during teams. During this group there were 4 killed: 2 black mambas, 1 cobra, 1 puff adder. We ate the puff adder, I cooked it up. (oh yeah-the big 7 footer was a BLACK mamba, not green. Didn’t think there were black ones up here, but I guess there are!) There were a few of the team that tried the snake, but none of the Zambians. I didn’t kill any of these, so my personal tally still stands at 5 sizable snakes and dozens of baby cobras. The baby ones are no bigger then a night crawler. The 5 have been a black mamba, green mamba, spitting cobra, puff adder, and some sort of tree snake that is very poisonous. No pythons yetJ.

water!!!

Yes, we have water!!! The pump got in around supper Monday night and we have been watering like crazy! I was also about 9 loads of clothes behind, but am not getting caught up thankfully!!
The motor was burned up. We got a new motor and pump, and had them fix the other one to have a spare.
The Iowa and Georgia groups are here now and working hard! More updates on them later!
